2-Week Puppy Foundations Program (Ages 12–16 Weeks)

The first few months of a puppy’s life are a critical learning window, where their brain is wide open to new experiences, skills, and habits. Our 2-week in-kennel training program is designed to take full advantage of this formative stage, setting the groundwork for a lifetime of good behavior and confident socialization.

Early Development Done Right

From the moment your puppy joins us, we focus on creating a balanced experience. One that combines structured training with plenty of fun and stimulation. Our goal is to nurture respectful behavior while introducing your pup to the basics of obedience in a supportive, positive environment.

Core Behavior Focus

We gently address common behavioral challenges such as:

Excessive barking
Biting and mouthing
Jumping on people
Leash pulling
Food snatching

Using a rewards-based approach, we help your puppy understand how to interact appropriately with people, other dogs, and the world around them.

Foundational Skills Introduced

By the end of the program, your pup will have informal training in key commands and leash etiquette. You can expect early-stage proficiency in:

Eye contact and focus
Walking politely on a leash
Sit, down, and kennel
Coming when called
Beginning stages of heel

These aren’t rigid, robotic commands, but our approach encourages real-world, responsive behavior that lays the groundwork for future advanced training.

Confidence Through Socialization

Social exposure is a key element of our curriculum. Your puppy will meet new people, interact with other dogs, and experience various sights and sounds. This helps reduce fear-based behaviors and builds a confident, well-adjusted companion.

Optional Hunting Dog Introduction

For families with future field dogs, we offer tailored exposure to hunting elements such as:

Bird introduction
Environmental exploration (grass, woods, water)
Gunfire desensitization (at a distance)
Intro to swimming, weather permitting

This provides a smooth transition into more advanced training later on.
